Yes, I am a parent of two freshmans this year. Yikes! My oldest is going to college at NAU and my youngest is going to High school. I don't really know which one has more impact. They both relate to I am getting older or my kids are getting more grown up and going to leave the nest so to speak soon. When I had children I knew that some day this would happen but I really didn't know it would go this fast.
Am I ready for it? No, am I prepared for it? I sure hope so. I hope I have taught them things that they will come in contact with in there life time. People that they will meet, things that they will see, be tempted to do things that shouldn't be done. But you know I have done what I thought was right. And I have prayed. That is about all I can do and be there for them if and when they need someone.
So right now I leave them in God's hand.
